We propose an original concept of Enduro travelling.

From Thonon les Bains, touching the big Leman Lake making boundaty between Fance and Switzerland, you will arrive in Menton, for a swim in the Mediterranean Sea. This mountain bike Enduro trip is a unique way to cross the magnificent French Alps, riding few of the most amazing trails these mountains have to offer.

All along the travel, you will taste the diversity of the Alps. From green forest at the north, to pine and larch forest, you will finish on a drier area on alpine pastures and grey earth in the South Alps, to finally ride the rocky trails of the Azur Coast.

This mountain bike trip is for trails lover and focus on spectacular descent, that we will reach with the help of our shuttle van.

8 days to cross 10 mountain ranges of the French Alps : Chablais, Mont-Blanc, Beaufortain, Vanoise, Ecrins, Cerces, Queyras, Ubaye and Mercantour and Préalpes of Nice.

PROGRAM

GENEVA OR THONO-LES-BAINS :

Welcome to Geneva !

From Geneva Airport, we will transfer you, your bike and your luggage to Thonon-les-Bains, a charming spa town on the shores of Leman lake.

At the hotel, we'll take the time to get to know each other over a drink, pack your belongings for the journey and get your bikes ready.

Meals included : dinner

to Verbier, one of the most beautiful mountain bike destinations in the Swiss Alps.

After a long trip, take the opportunity to relax in the charming village or discover the endless riding possibilities of the area. A great warm-up to prepare for the adventure.

MONT ROUGE - ÉVOLENE

Between Val d'Hérémence and Val d'Hérens

DISTANCE : 23 km A+ : 675 m D- : 1 745 m

Woken up gently by the sun that lights up the hut, we set off for a crazy descent in a spruce forest to the bottom of the valley. Our shuttle will be waiting for us to go up the next slope and join a technical trail on the balcony of the Val d'Hérens, where we will ride one part of the Grand Raid Cristalp.

We will finish with a nice descent between alpine pastures and forest with the soft sound of the Hérens cows’ bells, before going back to Evolène to spend the night in a comfortable and authentic hotel.

EVOLENE - ST LUC HOTEL WEISSHORN

At almost 3000m, an incredible descent with a view on a cristal lake

DISTANCE : 23 km A+ : 1 140 m D- : 1 480 m

This day is perhaps the most sensational of your adventure. On the menu today, the famous Torrent pass, which we will reach by walking our bikes on the last 300m of vertical ascent. It is a crossing point between Val d'Herens and Val d'Anniviers at about 3000m, offering a sublime panorama of the surrounding peaks and an exceptional descent of 1800m of negative elevation. The view on Moiry Lake, one of the jewels of the region with its deep turquoise color, will leave you amazed. We will finish this long trail to the village of Grimentz and we will join St Luc by shuttle. The day does not end here and we will have to make a last effort on the last kilometers which will bring us to our accommodation. Nestled on the side of the mountain, this historic hotel awaits you for a night out of time. A haven of peace and relaxation, only accessible by bike or by walking.

HOTEL WEISSHORN - BURCHEN

From Val d'Anniviers to the wild Turtmann valley

DISTANCE : 56 km A+ : 2 200 m D- : 3 260 m

In the morning, we will leave the Val d'Anniviers behind us to climb a steep pass at 2900 m above sea level. The route through the rocks is technical and difficult for the first few hundred meters but becomes smooth and easy afterwards. You are now in the wild and preserved valley of the Turtmanntal and can see the summit of the Monte Rosa culminating at 4634m. A nice trail along the Turtmann river will bring us back to our shuttle to get to the start of the next trail. This second ascent of the day is on a nice flowy trail and serves a zigzagging trail in the fir forests. Night in a charming hotel in the German speaking part of the Valais.

BURCHEN - ZERMATT

Last but not least, riding front of the Matterhorn

DISTANCE : 45 km A+ : 1 110 m D- : 2 300 m

We will reach the Moosalp mountain pasture and continue on a balcony route on the side of the mountains with a breathtaking view of the valley leading up to Zermatt.

We will descend on a fast and playful trail with beautiful switchbacks through the larch forests to the end of the valley. Then, we will climb on a pleasant path along the river to the village of Täsch. Our shuttle bus will be waiting for us there to take us to the hamlet of Taschalp, then we will join a path that leads straight to the heights of Zermatt. You will discover the Matterhorn from a sensational point of view, before reaching the village by a last flowtrail which only Zermatt has the secret.

We will finish this adventure on the main street, to immortalize the moment in front of the majestic summit before going back to our hotel and celebrating together the success of the adventure.

VERBIER - MONT ROUGE :
One of the most beautiful singletracks in Verbier to start the adventure

DISTANCE : 31 km A+ : 1 110 m D- : 1 670 m

From Verbier, we will take the ski lifts to reach the highest point of the resort. A panoramic path will allow you to contemplate the village with a breathtaking view of the Grand Combin. A superb enduro itinerary will take us to the Arbi valley where we will join an old bisse, an irrigation canal typical from Valais, before discovering a very fun secret trail to ride until the Val de Nendaz. With the help of a small ski lift, we will climb to the next pass to access a superb trail on a very aesthetic alpine ridge before reaching our accommodation for the evening. A real experience in a Swiss Alpine Club hut at 2200m altitude.

ZERMATT

A 100% enduro day on Zermatt mtb trails

DISTANCE : 30 km + : 500 m D- : 3 000 m

For this last day, we propose you to ride on the mountain bike trails of Zermatt using the lifts. The choice will be difficult as there are so many jewels to ride !

The Gornergratt downhill is one of the most incredible experiences in Zermatt. A rack rail train ride will take you to the summit (3089m) to enjoy a breathtaking view of the Matterhorn, the Gorner glacier and the chain of 4000m peaks.

The descent is first on a technical trail winding on rocky mass and then gives way to a magnificent singletrail in the loose soil of the alpine pastures. The reflection of the Matterhorn in the Riffelsee is an incredible sight. The rest of the descent will be between technical trails and ultra-playful flowtrail to Zermatt, always in a sumptuous panorama.

Back to Täsch at 2pm to return to Verbier, our starting point.
